This chunky textured silver ring is made using the technique of sand casting.

An imprint of a hand carved wax ring is used to create an imprint using a two part mould filled with specialist sand, extra sand from a beach in Seamill on the West coast of Scotland is added to help create the rough texture & molten silver is poured into the cavity left behind. 

The silver is then removed, refined & smoothed to create a ring which is tackle with heavily textured surface but smooth & comfortable to wear on the inside. This ring also has the addition of a small blue sapphire set in 9ct golds. The sapphire is approx 3mm.

This ring is a UK size L & half and has a mart finish. The ring is approx 9mm wide.

Rings can be made to size however please note due to the process and hallmarking it will take approx 3-4 weeks. 

All the rings are hand made by me from my studio Paisley. This ring is hallmarked as sterling silver from the Edinburgh Assay Office.

All items are posted out via Royal Mail , items under £40 are sent 1st class, £40-£80 are sent recorded and items over £80 are sent via special delivery.

Collection are welcome from my workshop in Paisley by prior arrangement.

Silver will naturally tarnish over time, certain factors can speed this up like wearing your jewellery in the shower, swimming and perfums as well as the natural oils in our skin.

Just one of my favourite things. Though when it comes to jewellery, we put in a bit more effort, striking a balance between aesthetic & sustainability.

Our gift boxes & inserts are made in Europe from FSC-certified cardboard the inserts have a viscose topcoat to look like velvet, meaning no plastic foam inserts!

Most of our jewellery is sent in letter box friendly cardboard mailers which can be recycled.
